Zero-Credit Internship Course

AE 3000 is a no-cost, zero-credit course available to undergraduate students participating in approved internships, providing formal transcript recognition.

TXST Internship Scholarships

Career Services is proud to announce our TXST Internship Scholarships during each spring, fall, and summer. This fund is meant to support students with financial need who are participating in internships, with priority given to unpaid or under-funded experiences. The scholarship is open to Texas State undergraduate students who have secured an internship for the spring, summer, or fall semester. Amounts awarded may vary based on need and funding source. Last year's recipients received between $2,000 and $500 depending on need.

Why should I report my internship or work-based learning experience?

If you are completing an internship, co-op, clinical rotation, student teaching, or similar work-based learning experience, we want to know about it so we can keep you informed about relevant events and resources.
We also spotlight our Bobcat interns throughout the year. Follow us on Instagram to see our internship spotlights and report your internship through Handshake.
Why should I enroll in an internship course?

When an internship appears on your official transcript, it signals to future employers, graduate programs, and scholarship committees that you didn’t just attend classes. You instead applied what you learned in a workplace setting and earned academic recognition for it. It can make your experience easier to verify, stand out more clearly alongside your coursework, and help you tell a stronger story about your skills, professionalism, and career readiness when you apply for future opportunities.
If you are taking a for-credit internship course, it may also progress you towards degree completion.
Why should I enroll in the zero-credit internship course?

With the zero-credit internship course, you get all of the benefits of an internship course on your transcript but at no additional cost. With a for-credit internship course, you pay tuition. For the zero-credit internship course, you do not.
As a reminder, when an internship appears on your official transcript, it signals to future employers, graduate programs, and scholarship committees that you didn’t just attend classes. You instead applied what you learned in a workplace setting and earned academic recognition for it.
