During the next few months your Career Services department at Texas State will be undergoing renovations creating an updated facility to better serve our Bobcats. Updates regarding the renovation project and our temporary locations will be found on this page. Career Services Locations Across Campus
Career Counseling and advising, drop-in career help, and the Career Closet have temporarily moved from the 5th floor of the LBJ Student Center to multiple locations across campus.
Your one-on-one appointments will have new locations during our renovations. Find the staff member's name attached to your appointment and click any for more detailed directions.

Drop-ins will be happening from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Gaillardia/Chautauqua Hall (C114). During our drop-in time, we offer 15-minute career peer advising sessions to help with general resume & cover letter reviews, Handshake assistance, part-time job search assistance, and interview preparation.
The Career Closet will be temporarily moved to the 1st floor of the LBJ Student Center. You can visit the Career Closet by scheduling an appointment.
Did you miss the photo booth at our big event, Resume Express on February 7, 2023? No worries, headshots are now available by appointment on Handshake for every Monday of the spring semester and will be taken in our Gaillardia Chautauqua temporary main office.

Directions from LBJ Student Center: Exit LBJSC on the second floor, through the doors nearest The Bookstore. After descending the building’s stairs, you will walk the right-side Mall area, down three sets of stairs, toward Elliott Hall. On your right, you will exit the Mall area, down a side set of stairs, toward the Elliott parking lot. Once at this lower level, you take a right and follow the sidewalk past McCoy Hall, taking a left behind Wood Street Garage, along Comanche Street. Once you are at the corner of Comanche and Woods Streets, you are right across from the DHRL Building. Carefully cross the street, and enter through DHRL’s front door and check in at the main desk. The main desk worker will notify your counselor of your arrival. And, as always, if you would prefer your appointment to be conducted remotely, please call and we can make that change for you.

Drop-In Career Help

Drop-ins will be happening from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Drop-in help will be 15-minute career peer advising sessions to help with general resume & cover letter reviews, Handshake assistance, part-time job search assistance, and interview preparation.
If you have scheduled an appointment for professional headshots, your headshot location will be in this area. Please arrive dressed and ready for your shot at the time of the appointment.

- Go to the third floor of the LBJ Student Center and exit the doors by the LBJ Student Center Bus Stop.
- Cross Student Center Dr, and the entrance will be to your left
- We are in room 114, to the right as you enter the building. Feel free to ask the front desk staff for assistance.

- From the elevators between George's and Tu Taco, the lounge is to your left.
- Head through the doors. You will see the eSports Arena to your right, but straight ahead will be the new location for the Career Closet.

- Upon exiting the LBJ Student Center from the second-floor exit near the Bookstore, take a right.
- Follow the main walkway up the steps and across the walking bridge above Comanche Street.
- After crossing the Comanche Street bridge, the Supple Science Building will be the first building on your left.
- Upon entering the building’s main entrance after crossing the Comanche Street bridge, you will be on the second floor.
- Take a left from the main entrance on the second floor and Elisa’s office is the first door on your left – Room 208.

Jowers Center, Faculty Office A162
- From the LBJ Student Center, drive or walk over to the Jowers Center (near Sewell Park and the building attached to the University Events Center off Aquarena Springs Drive). For parking, there is Perimeter Permit Parking available off of Charles Austin Drive.
- Come into the Jowers Center and check in at the department of Health and Human Performance Department front counter (Jowers - A116) and ask for directions back to the faculty offices and Ross’ temporary office space will be in Faculty Office A162.
College of Applied Arts Appointments
Family Consumer Science 120
- Upon exiting the LBJ Student Center from the second-floor exit near the Bookstore, take a right.
- Follow the main walkway up the steps and across the walking bridge above Comanche Street.
- After crossing the Comanche Street bridge, the first building on your right is the Roy F. Mitte Building.
- Follow alongside the building and turn right on the far left side of the Mitte building, proceed forward and then go down the stairs and turn left to follow the side walk towards the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Building (there will be the Mitte bldg. parking lot on your right side).
- At the FCS Building, go up the outside stairs into the building and proceed straight down the hallway all the way across to the building to the West side.
- You will go up a small flight of stairs, where you will turn right as if heading to the main office of the School of Family and Consumer Sciences, FCS Room 101.
- Turn left at the main office and proceed down the hallway and FCS 120 is located down on your right.

Directions from LBJ Student Center:
- Upon exiting the LBJ Student Center from the second-floor glass door exit near the Bookstore
- Navigate outside and down the steps of LBJSC to continue walking southeast through the LBJSC Mall Area
- Navigate to the right-most outside corner of Alkek Library, where you will find a set of stairs or a ramp for you to go down.
- Continue walking straight after the stairs and the building on your right is the building you are looking for. Continue walking the width of the building and then turn right to walk half the length of the building.
- At this point, you should see the building’s signature “arch walkway.” Within the “arch walkway”, there will be a door to your right that will lead you inside the UAC (Undergraduate Academic Center) building which has recently been renamed the Denise M. Trauth and John L Huffman Hall (THH). Signage will still say UAC and its functional name to current students/staff is UAC.
- Once inside the building, walk straight until you see elevators on your left.
- Using the elevators, navigate to the 4th floor of the UAC/THH.
- Once you exit the elevator on the 4th floor, immediately turn left and then navigate the passage of hallways, paying attention to signage that will lead you through the maze of the 4th floor to finally find UAC 462 within UAC/THH. Your Career Educator looks forward to meeting with you!

- Exit LBJ through the 2nd floor South Exit, near the University Bookstore
- Head towards Alkek Library through the Mall and continue through the open columns and down the staircase
- Continue passed Derrick Hall to the Horse Statue and through the Quad
- Proceed passed both the LBJ and Vaquero statues
- Old Main will be directly behind the Vaquero statue
- Enter Old Main and go to the second floor. Adam's office is directly across from the elevator
